About

Progressive Action Night is a free event in New York to build a brave space for activism.

The goal of the series, based on Progressive Hack Night, will be to systematize, coordinate, and maximize the effectiveness training opportunities and actions for volunteers and organizations looking to mobilize volunteers for the midterm elections.

During these nights, ThoughtWorks will be available to organizations and volunteers looking to do “afterwork activism” -- volunteers who want to stop by, grab a snack, get trained, learn how to plug in, and do some work.

What happens at an action night?

Progressive Action Night in NYC starts every other Monday at 6:30pm. We meet at ThoughtWorks on the 15th floor of 99 Madison Ave in Mid Town NYC. The event is free, and the invitation is open to anyone.

6:50pm – Welcome and introductions

We get started around 6:50pm with a brief welcome and introduction to the event and then kick off the introductions.

Everyone in the room introduces themselves and tells the group why they’re here.
